About Us
Here at Timberland Kennels we are dedicated to the Brittany. Bill acquired his first Britt when he was 14 years old and quickly recognized the breed characteristics of an awesome upland hunting dog and devoted friend and companion. We bred our first litter of Britts in 1984 and have continued that venture to this day.
In 1994 we purchased Double Brandy's Bird Buster as a pup who with the assistance of Bob Burchett became one of the youngest Britts ever to attain the coveted Field Champion title. After attaining the FC title before the age of 3, Buster was then off the trial circuit and we spent the next 10 years hunting grouse, quail and pheasants with family and friends.
Though Buster is no longer with us, his progeny are still producing the looks, desire, nose and staunchness on point that he was noted for. Currently over 80% of our pups are going to repeat customers which is a great testimony to the success of our breeding program. There are several families in the Midwest where fathers, sons, brothers and uncles are all hunting Timberland-bred Brittany's and have done so for several years and multiple generations.
