About Us

In 1972, a West -Central Wisconsin farm boy traded a small flock of show chickens to the preacher's son for a white and orange Brittany pup named Al. For the next nine years much of my spare time was spent following Al around the wooded hills of Buffalo County successfully pursuing the abundant small game found there. Amazed at the natural hunting instinct and great disposition of this breed in 1983 we purchased a nice little female, Mark's Dear Abby followed by Patti's Skip along Buster and in 1984 our first litter of Britts was born. In 1986 we moved to Argonne in Northeastern WI and have made our home here next to the Nicolet National Forest ever since. Timberland bred bird dogs now reside in over 40 states and Mexico proving their versatility on many different species of game birds over a wide variety of terrain. If you are looking for a medium-sized bird-dog/hunting companion bred to have lots of natural point and retrieve with a super nose ,desire and stamina as well as good looks and personality give us a call.
